Need an Official Record?
Use the custodian that maintains the specific San Miguel County or Colorado record:
- Court case files: review criminal court case records or contact San Miguel Combined Courts, 305 W. Colorado Ave., P.O. Box 919, Telluride, CO 81435; 970-369-3310; SanMiguelClerk@judicial.state.co.us. The public clerk counter is listed Monday through Thursday; call about a Friday appearance.
- Criminal histories and rap sheets: use the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's records channels.
- Sheriff reports, bookings, and jail records: contact Sheriff Administrative Records at 684 County Road 63L, Telluride, CO 81435; 970-728-4442; records@sanmiguelsheriff.org. The main and 24-hour inmate line is 970-728-1911.
- Official Colorado checks: order through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and use an approved fingerprint vendor when the authorized process requires prints.
- Police or incident reports: ask the agency that created the report, including Telluride Marshal's Department or Mountain Village Police where applicable.
- Record sealing or juvenile expungement: use the current Colorado Judicial Branch forms and file through the court that handled the matter.
